Pets Come First has been looking after my beautiful baby, Dot for over 5.5 years now. I could not wish for a more caring, thoughtful, or giving team to look after Dot. I have called Kate at the very last minute due to work commitments, and she has ensured that she made it to Dot for me. Kate is so wonderful that she can even tell when Dot is not quite herself; this was demonstrated just last week, when Kate could tell Dot was unwell, and after a visit to the vets it was established she had an infection. We call Kate ‘aunty Kate’, and this is a genuine heartfelt name. I have been using the services of "Pets Come First" for over 6 years

now and would recommend them unreservedly. Apart from being a really lovely person, she provides a tremendous service. She is reliable,diligent and caring, but the best thing is her attitude, nothing is ever a problem. Emergencies are dealt with instantly and she puts up with changes at the last minute and my cats love her!!

We have known Pets Come First for over six years now, as a walker for our dog Archie. We’ve always found Kate and the team to be reliable and trustworthy and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Pets Come First has been walking Charlie since he was just a pup (he's now 7), during this time not only have we had every confidence in her abilities and given her our complete trust (which goes without saying when giving the key to your house to someone you hardly ever see) but Charlie's lead work has improved dramatically, this we can only put down to Kate as we hardly ever get to walk him on his lead, one of the perils of living so close to a park, 30 seconds and he’s off running free. Since the arrival of Lola our second Springer Kate has kept up the fantastic work, feeding her when she was on three meals a day, letting her out to the back garden while she was still too young for proper walks and then taking Charlie for his run. Now she is old enough to take out with Charlie she has also become quite an accomplished walker on the lead, if somewhat more enthusiastic than Charlie, but we put that down to age... As it has already been said in these references without Kate we wouldn't have been able to have the dogs we wanted and carry on full time work, we, I am ashamed to say, drop Kate in it all the time by changing the days we require due to last minute working arrangements, she’s never let us down. Thanks Pets Come First it really is much appreciated.

We have had dogs for many years and, when we have travelled abroad, have always boarded them with relatives or friends. Unfortunately the lady who last looked after them developed severe arthritis and, as we then had one very old dog and two lively youngsters, we felt it would be better for all concerned to look for a pet/house sitter service. Obviously this is a big step to take but, after browsing the internet for a while, I discovered Kate and her family. The response to my interest was immediate and, after a meeting with Kate very shortly afterwards, I felt sure that my beloved dogs, and my home, would be taken care of. As a consequence we have used the services of Pets Come First on ten separate occasions over the three years to look after our dogs, at our home, whilst we have travelled abroad. They have also walked our dogs on occasions that it has not been possible for us to do so.

It is a great comfort to us to know that our doggie friends and, for that matter, our home are in the hands of such reliable, caring and trustworthy people. Our dogs are very comfortable with Pets Come First and are always pleased to see them which, for us, is of the utmost importance. On our return it has always been apparent that the dogs have been looked after superbly and are very happy in the company of their now extended family! Pets Come First has been looking after Tyler for a 5 years, and we know he is in good, safe hands. We trust Kate with the house keys and the alarm code. Tyler loves his walks with Aunty Kate, she takes him to our local park, and we know he sleeps the rest of the afternoon because he's been walked for a whole hour!! She is there for him in all kinds of weather, and if we have to change any times, or days, for ANY reason, Kate always accomadates us, even at a moments notice. We would like to thank you for the very professional and excellent service that Pets Come First have provided in house-sitting our 2 dogs and rabbits. When you house-sat for us last year for 3 weeks, on our return it was obvious they have an affection for you. This was in stark contrast to the experiences we had previously encountered when collecting them from kennels. It was much less stressful for them staying in their own environment and having the space to roam around rather than being cooped up in a kennel. They had obviously had plenty of walks and many of our friends mentioned afterwards that they had seen them out and about.

Not only were the dogs well cared for - but the house was perfect. We are delighted that you are coming to house-sit again for us in Easter. We know that we can go away with total peace of mind that both house and the animals will be well looked after. It is always a concern when you have a 'stranger' staying in your house, but the professional way in which you organised a ' meet the dogs' session before we went away put our minds at rest.

My name is Mrs Jaye, i have a German Shepherd and he is my best friend, & my partner and i love him to bits. He really is everything to me, so i needed someone very special to look after him for me whilst i was on holiday. Whilst on holiday, one of my border terriers was taken very seriously ill. I had left a note mentioning that they suffer with a debilitating ecoli infection which can strike within hours. Any sign of this, take to the vet immediately. Pets Come First did not hesitate. It turned out that a fungal infection had attacked ulcers deep in the stomach, the ulcers had caused gastric lesions. After major abdominal surgery, thanks to the quick thinking of Pets Come First I am glad to say my terrier is once again terrorising the squirrels!

Not only are your pets much loved, your home is also secure. What a way to leave for your holiday. Complete peace of mind.

Kate and her family have been our pooch walkers for a number of years now. They have cared, loved, walked, played with the three pooches that we have owned. They have helped us ( and our family ) out at the drop of a hat.

The team are reliable professional, caring and truly dedicated to every animal they come across. We see Kate and her family as friends now, people that we can rely on. We couldn't see ourselves not having pooches and if we have a pooch we wouldn't want anyone else looking after them other than Kate and her family. Buster is a high energy Labrador cross who came into our home from a rescue centre. When he first arrived needless to say he was full of energy and mischief and Kate was there to offer valuable advice and care for Buster whilst we were at work.

Kate is reliable and trustworthy and Buster loves her. Without Kate and Pets Come First I would not have been able to work and be a dog owner, as Buster is a lively fellow who needs regular walking and attention. Buster loves his regular walks with Kate & co and is a much calmer and happier pooch.
